Traditionally blackberry leaf tea is used for a sore throat, sore gums (gingivitis) or mouth ulcers. The leaves are high in Vitamin C and hydrolysable tannins and flavonoids. The astringent qualities of the tannins help to tonify mucosa. For this reason it's also said to be useful for gastrointestinal inflammation and diarrhoea. Place the Halo into a 5 litre pot of water Bring to boil. Simmer for 10 mins Turn off and Steep for 10 mins. Pour a deep flavoured Tea to drink hot.
