Supply’d V5.4.1: R&D Products, Smarter Pick & Pack & Inventory Risk
V5.4.1 introduces a new way to develop and approve products before they go live, alongside major Pick & Pack upgrades, improved delivery instructions and smarter visibility over inventory at risk of expiring.
Let’s get straight into what is new in V5.4.1.
R&D Products
New R&D Products give your team a dedicated space to develop products and recipes without mixing them with your live product range.
- Separate R&D Products: Keep products and recipes under development separate from your standard products.
- Complete Recipe History: Create and manage multiple recipe versions against each R&D product, preserving a full history as the recipe evolves.
- Manager Approvals: Submit R&D products and recipes for approval, giving managers the opportunity to review them before they are released.
- Move to Live in a Few Clicks: Once approved, R&D products and their selected recipes can be quickly copied across to live products and recipes.
Pick & Pack Upgrades
This release adds more flexibility to the packing process, whether you are handling individual orders, cartons, pallets or trolleys.
- Container Counts: Record the number of containers used while packing an order, including pallets and trolleys.
- Labels Per Container: Optionally print an individual shipping label for each container.
- Optional Pack Scanning: Require team members to scan items during packing for an additional level of order verification.
- Simplified Pick-to-Pack Workflow: When completing a single pick order, Supply’d can automatically open the packing screen, creating a smoother end-to-end process.
Location-Specific Delivery Notes
Delivery instructions can now be managed at the individual customer location level.
- Notes for Each Location: Store useful delivery information against each customer location, such as access instructions, receiving requirements or where goods should be left.
- Automatically Applied: The relevant location notes will automatically flow through to delivery orders, helping your delivery team receive the correct instructions for every site.
New Inventory by Risk Report
The new Inventory > By Risk report helps you identify batches that may not be sold or consumed before their expiry dates.
Rather than only highlighting stock that is already close to expiry, the report considers when each batch needs to sell through based on expected usage. This gives your team more time to take action before the stock becomes a problem.
- Identify At-Risk Batches: Quickly find inventory that may not be sold or consumed before expiry.
- Earlier Visibility: Highlight batches that need to sell through ahead of time, rather than waiting until their expiry dates are approaching.
- Reduce Potential Waste: Use the additional warning to adjust purchasing, production, stock allocation or sales activity.
