Supply’d V5.5: Introducing Ask Supply’d, Expense Agent & MCP

20 Oct 2026  •  4 min read

V5.5 marks the beginning of a new era for Supply’d.

For the first time, you can ask questions directly inside your ERP, allow an intelligent agent to help reconcile expenses, and connect Supply’d data to AI platforms such as ChatGPT and Claude.

Alongside our largest AI release yet, V5.5 introduces major improvements to expense reconciliation, a new variable-weight sales workflow and OAuth authentication for our API.

Let’s get into what is new in V5.5.

Ask Supply’d Beta

Ask Supply’d gives you a new way to access information from across your business.

Instead of navigating between screens and reports, you can ask questions directly inside Supply’d and receive answers in real time.

Ask Supply’d is launching in beta and will continue to become more capable as we expand the information and functions available to it.

Expense Reconciliation Improvements

We have redesigned key parts of the expense reconciliation experience to make invoice review faster and discrepancies easier to identify.

Expense Agent Private Beta

Processing expenses can become complicated, particularly when working with large invoices or a high volume of supplier documents.

Expense Agent is designed to take much of that manual investigation and reconciliation work off your team.

Expense Agent is launching as a private beta while we work closely with selected customers to test and refine its capabilities.

Sell by Unit, Invoice by Kilogram

V5.5 introduces a new workflow for variable and fixed-weight products that are ordered by unit but picked and invoiced according to their actual weight.

This is particularly useful for meat, seafood, cheese, produce and other products where the final weight varies between individual units.

For example, a customer can order 10 units, your team can pack and record the actual combined weight, and Supply’d will calculate the invoice using the kilograms supplied.

MCP Beta

Supply’d now supports MCP, or Model Context Protocol, allowing you to connect Supply’d ERP to supported AI assistants.

OAuth API Authentication

We have introduced OAuth as a new authentication method for the Supply’d API, providing a more secure and standardised foundation for integrations.

Existing API keys will continue to work for now, but will be deprecated in the future. A deprecation date has not yet been set, and customers using API keys will receive notice before any changes are required.

Plus More!

As always, this release includes a number of minor improvements, background optimisations and bug fixes across the system to keep your operations running smoothly.
